Guests & Visitors

External guests are welcome to enjoy our Pool Hangout facilities upon payment of a daily fee.
Children aged 9 to 12 benefit from a 50% discount, while those up to 8 years old may enter free of charge, provided they are accompanied by at least two paying adults. Should this condition not be met, the standard adult rate will apply.

They are welcome to enjoy our Pool Hangout facilities, including both indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools. Access also extends to our Pool Bar and Restaurant, as well as our Mini Market, where a variety of essential items are available. Guests may also make use of our Kids Club services, subject to availability and a separate fee.

Your friends are most welcome to visit and enjoy our facilities.

Check-in begins at 16:00. Luggage storage is provided. Check-out is at 10:00, with luggage storage also available and free use of the facilities until your resort departure.

No, Martinhal is a pet-free resort.

Accommodation & House Amenities

Yes, complimentary items include cots, potties, bath seats, bed guards, highchairs, pushchairs, and monitors. Some items require a refundable deposit.

Yes, our kitchens are fully equipped with washing machine and dish washer, ironing board and iron, fridge and freezer, coffee machine and kitchen utilities. Also include a welcome pack, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, hand blender and dish washing tablets.

Each villa is equipped with a television featuring both national and international channels, together with its own internet access. For those who enjoy streaming, please note that platforms such as Netflix or Disney+ are not pre-installed. We encourage guests to bring along their preferred device (such as Chromecast or Apple TV) to make the most of their viewing experience.

Some villas feature a built-in charcoal BBQ. For those without, a gas BBQ can be provided upon request. Please note that an additional charge applies for the gas bottle.

Children are warmly welcomed in all our villas. Please be aware, however, that not every property includes safety features such as pool fencing or stair gates, and these are subject to availability.

Yes, daily housekeeping service is available and available from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Please note that this service does not include dishwashing or detailed kitchen cleaning.
Bed linen is changed every day unless requested otherwise by you.
If you would like to add daily Kitchen cleaning to your reservation, extra charge applies.

Yes, pool towels are provided in your villa upon arrival. They are refreshed daily during housekeeping service, provided they are left on the floor for collection.

Meal Plans & Restaurants

Breakfast and Half Board are offered. Meal plans must apply to the entire accommodation, are pre-paid, and can be cancelled prior to arrival.

Children aged 0–8 years dine free of charge when accompanied by two paying adults (maximum of two children per two adults). Guests aged 9–12 years benefit from a 50% discount.

For those wishing to venture beyond the resort, Quinta do Lago boasts a vibrant array of restaurants to cater to every palate. Our concierge team will be delighted to provide personalized recommendations and assist with reservations, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Our MBar opens daily from 8:30am. Closing times vary with the season, earlier during the winter months and later in the summer.

Yes, we are pleased to offer a convenient home delivery service within the resort, available daily from 8:30am until the MBar closes. Please note that closing times vary seasonally, earlier in winter and later in summer.

Yes, all guests are welcome to enjoy our delicious meals at our MBar.

All restaurant meals can be charged to your villa account, subject to opening an account at check-in, if you prefer, direct card payments are accepted.

Vegan, gluten-free, Lactose-free, halal, low sugar, low salt, and nut-free diets are available.

Custom dietary requests should be made at least 24 hours before arrival. Chefs are also available to assist upon arrival.

Yes, breakfast selections and hot dishes are available upon request.

Kids Clubs

Yes, it is possible, subject to children’s club availability and a fee which varies depending on the time of year.

Yes. During the low season, the Kids Club operates from Monday to Friday. Please note that it will be closed on the afternoons of 24th and 31st December, and will remain closed for the full day on 25th December and 1st January.

No, the fee is charged individually for each child.

The Kids Club space is shared by all children, and they are always supervised.

No, apart from a brief 5–10-minute drop-off period.

Babysitting

We accept children from 4 months. For children aged under 18 months, we accept a maximum of two children per childminder.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required.

Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the service start time will incur a one-hour charge.

Babysitting is normally conducted in the guest’s accommodation.

Yes, the babysitter may take the children outside the villa for walks, provided there is authorization and specific requests from the parents or guardians.

During the summer, we offer a wide variety of activities at our resort for both adults and children. These include pool activities such as aqua gym, quizzes, mini disco, table tennis, water games, and more.

Yes, our Fitness Room is complimentary for guests.

Treatments can be booked via email or online, specifying the date and time at least 48 hours in advance.

Swimming Pools & Beach

The resort offers three communal swimming pools for all to enjoy. Each Townhouse also features its own private plunge pool, while our Villas are equipped with larger private pools, with a standard size of 4m x 6m.

Yes, the indoor, outdoor and children pools are heated year-round.

The private villa pools are not heated. However, guests are most welcome to enjoy our communal outdoor pools and indoor pool, all of which are heated throughout the year.

No, parents are responsible for supervising their children.

Yes, but large inflatables may not be allowed if the pools are busy.

Sun loungers cannot be reserved. For the comfort of all guests, any unattended items left on loungers for more than 40 minutes will be removed and stored safely in our Pool Hangout area.

Yes, pool towels are available at the Pool Hangout.

Guests staying with us are very well located for some of the Algarve’s most beautiful beaches. The closest options include:

  • Praia da Quinta do Lago – The resort’s home beach, reached by a wooden bridge crossing the Ria Formosa, offering lifeguards (in season), restaurants, sun loungers, and parasols.
  • Praia do Ancão – Just a few minutes away, with golden sands, beachside restaurants, and water sports facilities.
  • Praia do Garrão – Known for its lively beachside restaurants and relaxed atmosphere.
  • Praia de Vale do Lobo – A longer stretch of sand with excellent facilities, popular with families.

For those happy to drive a little further, Praia da Ilha de Faro is also a lovely option, located around 20–25 minutes away. All these beaches are within a short drive from Martinhal Quinta. If you do not have your own car, our concierge will be happy to arrange a transfer (fees apply).

Transport & Car Rental

Yes, please email flight details and luggage information to Reservations (res@martinhal.com) for a quotation.

Yes, for pre-arrival bookings, please contact our Reservations team, or reach out to our Family Concierge during your stay for in-resort deliveries. Child seats are available for an additional fee.

Taxis can be requested through our Front Desk, with an average waiting time of around 10 minutes. We highly recommend booking in advance, particularly during the summer months.

Yes, private cars and minivans with child seats are available.

No, golf carts are not available for rent. In addition, transportation with buggies outside the resort is not permitted due to legal requirements and road safety regulations.

Yes, our team is pleased to offer this service to all guests, subject to golf cart availability. Please note that during the summer season, waiting times may be longer.

Other Services

Yes, external nurse or doctor services are available upon request, with applicable fees. In-resort medical appointments are typically charged between €160 and €200, depending on the time of day or night.

Additionally, there are nearby medical facilities such as the Vale do Lobo Medical Centre, which may be able to assist with a range of conditions; however, availability is not guaranteed daily.
